Not the original purpose, but close enough.
A slop bowl is one of the components of a traditional tea set. It was used to empty the cold tea and dregs in tea cups before refilling with hot tea, as there were often tea leaves in the bottom of the cups. Not so many are used for this today as teapots fell out of fashion with the invention of the good old tea bag. There is still a good use for the slop bowl not a million miles away from the original use. I have a couple by the kettle and coffee machine, one for used tea bags on the way to the compost bin and one for coffee pods waiting to be emptied before being posted away for recycling. If you like a bit of vintage mixed with the modern then this is perfect, we have plenty in stock and reasonably priced for a piece of history.
